Dallas Center for Contemporary Art
The Dallas Center for Contemporary Art is located on 2801 Swiss Avenue in Deep Ellum. The Dallas Contemporary was established in 1981 to encourage and promote art and artists of the area. The contemporary artworks reflect the modern changes in life. The upcoming Texas talent is showcased at the exhibitions 20 times per annum.

The museum spans over 14,000 square feet with large workshop and gallery spaces. An outdoor landscaped sculpture garden that is open year-round compliments the facility. Take the gallery tours, watch performing arts, attend professional and technical seminars, and attend poetry readings at this Dallas museum. Exhibitions and educational events for artists, collectors, art marketers, and the general public are well attended here. Visitors can be seen researching at the library's fully equipped resource room.

Famous neighbors include McKinney Avenue Trolley, Museum of the American Railroad, Pioneer Plaza and Dallas Museum of Art.

Taco Diner (214-521-3669) half mile down from the museum is a nice place to enjoy some hot enchiladas and fajitas. Or try some Thai and Malaysian street food at Tom Tom (214-522-9866). The Loon also nearby is a trendy place to enjoy a drink. They feature appetizers and snacks plus occasional celebrity sighting.

The Westin City Center, located nearby is a great place for a business or leisure stay, while the more upscale Hotel ZaZa is for the discriminating traveler who wants the best of Dallas.
