Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park
Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park was conceived and created in 1976. It is located in Downtown Dallas and offers a unique experience. Now, you can travel all the way back to the Victorian era where the 17th century blacksmith shop, a general store and a church present a perfect picture of the past era. Visitors can get inside a vintage teepee to get a real vintage feel.

This charming park occupies 13 acres and showcases 40 historic buildings complete with their period charm. The tour gives you a feel about what life was like in North Texas more than a century ago. During your tour the guides will give you informative commentary that will enrich your American history.

After you are done at the village, why not explore the other Dallas attractions nearby such as Dallas City Hall, Pegasus Plaza and Thanks-Giving Square, all located within a mile.

When you get hungry, go over to the Twisted Root Burger Co. (214-741-7668). Here the half pount Black Angus burger is a must try item.

Non-smokers will like The Adolphus-A Noble House Hotel, a Baroque-style hotel built in 1921. Here, the Zagat-rated French Room serves up some of the finest French cuisine around. Another nice property near the village, both charming and affordable is the The Magnolia Hotel.
