White Rock Lake Park
Located in East Dallas, White Rock Lake Park is probably the most popular recreational area of Dallas and home to the Dallas Arboretum. The park's 1,000 acres of wooded parkland is endless and fun to explore. Joggers and bikers can be seen enjoying the beautiful trails while at the lake and its piers people idle time away fishing catfish, sunfish and bass. Spring flowers are also a refreshing sight here.

The park is also home to The Corinthian Sailing Club which promotes sailing and sailboat racing in Dallas. On Sundays, you can watch afternoon boat races. The club holds several major regattas and sponsors many social activities and teaches sailing.

The park also serves as a bird sanctuary and you can find lots of bird species here. White Rock Lake Park also hosts a number of events such as the March of Dimes Walk America and White Rock Marathon runs.
