Meyerson Symphony Center
The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is where you can watch the Dallas Symphony Orchestra give arresting performances. The orchestra is led by maestro Andrew Litton and the center, located in Downtown Dallas is its permanent home.

Designed by architect I.M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson's Artec Consultants, Inc., Meyerson Symphony Center started operations in 1989. The center is named after Morton Meyerson, business partner of Ross Perot who funded the construction with $10 million.

Dallas Wind Symphony as well as many other Dallas based musical organizations use this venue for their performances. Excellent acoustics, a spectacular pipe organ and an 85 foot high ceiling in the concert hall, all contribute to a better audio experience.

While you are in Dallas, try to catch a free concert at this venue. You may also take a free tour on select days at 1 p.m., but make sure to call ahead for more information. At the on-site Opus guests can be seen enjoying a variety of pastas and salads in an elegant setting, while in the East Lobby, Allegro serves succulent Italian and Asian fare.

Nearby The Westin City Center is a great spot for your Dallas stay. Conduct your business and relax at this urban oasis complete with an indoor ice skating arena. The Fairmont Dallas is a benchmark for elegance and style. The hotel places you near fine dining options, great shopping and excellent nightlife.
