Mesquite Championship Rodeo - Dallas Hotels .com

This Championship Rodeo brings you the excitement of the Western Frontier. Rodeo is the official state sport of Texas, and is quite popular in western United States. Cowgirls joined rodeo competitions at the turn of nineteenth century. Kids can have a good time chasing the calves at the Dallas Heritage Village.

The heritage village is located south of Downtown and covers an area of over 13 acres. Here you will find an old North Texas charm from the late 18th to the early 19th century. It comprises 38 historic buildings and shows off a Civil War era farm. Also notable are the stylish Victorian homes and the church.

At the rodeo, numerous cowboy and cowgirl athletes show off their human skill and agility in the timed events involving cattle and horses. Watch the exciting barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf roping, bronco riding and bull riding. Visitors can enjoy the chuck wagon races and the rodeo clowns. Don't forget to get yourself snapped with the bull and drop in to check out the Mesquite Championship Rodeo souvenirs at their Texas shop. When you get hungry just look around you will find some festival favorites and lots of southwestern flavors here.
