New Year's Parade - Dallas Hotels .com

"Celebrate Downtown!" is the main theme of this Comerica Bank New Year's Parade that takes place each year in Downtown Dallas. This event welcomes the participants and visitors of the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic. The parade starts in the afternoon and goes through the streets of Arts District to the West End and concludes at the American Airlines Center.

The parade committee is named after Dallas oil tycoon J. Curtis Sanford, founder of Cotton Bowl in 1936. University bands and other participants in the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic from all over the country take part in this parade. Horses, colorful floats, costume characters, cheerleaders and celebrities all can be seen here.
