Martin Luther King Jr. Parade - Dallas Hotels .com

On January 13, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, supporters get together in honor of his work and his life. The slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. stood up for equality, nonviolence and a healthy environment for all. All over the country, people who support his dream celebrate at the various libraries, lunches and parades.

Government officials, civic leaders and residents attend the parade in large numbers. Memorial services are held all over the nation to commemorate King. The bands and floats can be seen marching from the Dallas City Hall Plaza all the way down to Martin Luther King Boulevard in Fair Park.
