Southwestern Exposition Livestock Show & Rodeo
Southwestern Exposition Livestock Show and Rodeo is held every year since 1896. It is also known as Fort Worth Stock Show. The event is well attended and nearly a million people come to watch the show which runs for 23 days starting from mid-January. It is chock full of activities with all sorts of competing animals and races. You can enjoy the animal auctions and rodeos while kids find a thrilling time at the carnival rides. Cattle, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits, and pigeons all compete in the shows.

Visitors browse through the 200 hawkers selling various merchandise such as belt buckles, stock grooming supplies, and ranch equipment, while nearly 900 cowboys and cowgirls try to win in calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, bronco riding, chuck-wagon races and barrel racing. The fireworks add excitement to the event.
