Transportation in Dallas
The city of Dallas has recently invested a lot of improving its mass transit options, making the city a lot easier to get around. DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is responsible for the areas buses and light rail services. It serves 13 cities in the metropolitan Dallas area.

However, the preferred method of transportation in the city is by car and for good reason. The light rail system only has two lines - although an additional two lines will be opened in 5 years - which serve the more densely populated areas of the city, leaving residents living in the suburbs far from stations.

There is a bus system as well, but it can be quite cumbersome and confusing for visitors. So unless you can take a trolley or the light rail, skip it and rent a car.
