Light Rail
Dallas has two light-rail lines, with two more slated to be open within the next 5 years, which cover approximately 49 miles of distance. It has a ridership of 61,000 per day and is a very effective and easy way to get around the city.

The Red Line follows US 75, the Central Expressway, from Parker Road Station in Plano to Downtown Dallas. After in reaches Downtown, it goes west into the suburbs of Dallas. The passes underneath the Dallas Convention Center and stop by popular areas like the West End and the Dallas Zoo.

The Blue Line runs the same course as the Red Line around the Downtown Area, but it goes towards the northeast to Downtown Garland.

Fare for the light rail is $1.50 for a single ride or $3.00 for a day pass.
