Stay in hotels positioned slightly outside and to the East of the city. You're only minutes from downtown and the prices are so much better. But, stay away from the LaQuintas...apparently they're on a downward service spiral.

Go see the Mustangs of Las Collinas and the food at the Blue Fin is great.

I saved a lot of money by staying at the Wyndham at the end of my trip.

There are great restaurants within easy walking distance within the city limits. For history buffs, take about four hours and visit the Book Depository Building. Also, don't miss a visit to Southern Methodist University to see a wonderful art exhibit on campus.
